We believe in radical transparency. Here's exactly what we do (and don't do) with your data.

01 Overview
Page Monitor ("the Extension") is a Chrome browser extension that allows users to monitor changes on web pages and receive notifications when content changes. This Privacy Policy describes how the Extension handles information.
This policy applies to the Page Monitor Chrome extension available on the Chrome Web Store.
02 Data We Collect
We collect no personal data. The Extension operates entirely on your local device.
The following information is stored locally on your device only using Chrome's built-in chrome.storage.local API:
- URLs of web pages you choose to monitor
- CSS selectors you configure for monitored elements
- Text content snapshots of monitored elements (for change detection)
- Your notification and check interval preferences
- History of detected changes
This data never leaves your device and is never transmitted to any server.
03 Permissions Explained
The Extension requests the following Chrome permissions:

| alarms | To schedule periodic checks at the interval you configure |
| notifications | To send you browser notifications when a change is detected |

| tabs | To access the URL of the current tab when setting up a monitor |
| host_permissions (<all_urls>) | Required to read page content on any URL you choose to monitor |
04 Data Sharing
We do not share any data with third parties. We have no analytics, no tracking, no advertising, and no external API calls of any kind.
- No data is sent to our servers (we have none)
- No third-party analytics or tracking SDKs are included
- No advertising networks have access to any information
- No data is sold or licensed to any party
05 Data Retention & Deletion
All data is stored locally and you have full control:
- Delete individual monitors at any time from the extension popup
- Clear all change history with one click
- Uninstalling the extension permanently removes all stored data
06 Children's Privacy
The Extension is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
07 Changes to This Policy
If we update this policy, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
